Transposing Instruments. Keyboard, flute, guitar (concert key instruments) always start with a C scale. Trumpet, clarinet, tenor- and soprano sax (Bb instruments) always start with a D scale. Alto- and Baritone- sax (Eb instruments) always start with an A scale. The numbers refer to the scale numbers as shown on pages 42 to 67.

Powered by Most of the MIDI music was generated from TAB files by the software package. However there is some MIDI music that was recorded in real time with a Godin Multiac guitar as well. Many tunes have Tablature available for download. TAB files are provided one or two different formats.
All TAB files are at least in the universal Adobe Acrobat Reader format (.pdf) and many are also provided in TablEdit format. You will need the FREE Adobe to view and print the Acrobat files or the ($50) to view and print the TablEdit files (compressed to.zip format for download).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If for some reason, the Acrobat files will not display in your browser, save the file to your hard drive first, then view it. You can save the file by right-clicking your mouse and selecting 'Save File As' or 'Save Target As' depending on which browser you use. To hear this music as intended requires that it be played back with Wave Table MIDI sound (either hardware or software based); ideally into speakers that have a sub-woofer. They all use the General MIDI mapping for the sampled acoustic guitar sound.
