Feb 21, 2018 Not only does VorpX not work with d3d9.dll present; it also doesn’t work with dxgi.dll present, so even if you get around the d3d9.dll problem with the injector version of the binary, any ENB preset that actually looks good uses a dxgi.dll. Anybody found a way around the dxgi.dll problem? Moral of the story is that Skyrim ENBs in the Rift. This adapter DLL, originally created for Skyrim users, is actually working for all DirectX 9 games. It is needed for those who want to use custom d3d9.dll (SweetFX, FXAA, SMAA, Dynavision, ENB or others) on systems with NVidia's Optimus technology. This custom d3d9.dll is sometimes called proxy or wrapper DLL.

Just a link to a guide I have created to help people get Skyrim running in VR. The guide includes: - Menu positioning - Dialogue positioning - HUD positioning - HUD text resizing - Immersive first person view settings (visible body) - Vireio configuration - Other essential tweaks I get a lot of PM's on various sites regarding my configuration so I thought it best to compile everything in one guide.? I hope some of you find it useful. The above link is dead, some jack ass managed to get access to my mods page and for some unknown reason deleted the guide and all other associated media. As such it is no longer available.
I intended to update the guide as soon as my DK2 landed and one of the injectors got an update. Regrettably when said items arrived it quickly became apparent that it is not currently possible to run Skyrim @ 1080P / 75FPS / Geometry 3D, even on the lowest graphics settings with all AA and shadows off.
I'm basing this off performance with a GTX780 and just this weekend testing it with a GTX980. Anyone who tells you otherwise is exaggerating the truth somewhat, any town or city will cause significant drops in FPS rendering most the game useless, well unless you are waaaaay out in the wilderness. Currently I live in hope that NVidia's own injection method when released will yield more favorable results.
(particularly as it's most likely compatible with Helix mod). I believe it is based on 3D vision which gave my excellent performance in Geo 3D mode on my HMZ-T1 - although it didn't have the FOV or warping over heads. Until I can get a constant 75FPS with shadows I have no interest in this game and would recommend that anyone wishing to play it in VR avoid it for now. I hate to think how poorly the game will play on a CV1 if it has a higher resolution. Such a shame really, I loved playing it with my DK1, I must have clocked up 100's of hours, if not 1000's. My only solace is that while I'm not playing, the Skywind & Skyblivion teams will have chance to finish their projects. It would be nice if you could upload a video showing your finished set up.
I have been using Vireio since their 2.0 came out and i'm very happy with it. I seem to get much better 3D with Vireio than VorpX. I do also use SkyUI, The joy of prospective, LessintrusiveHUD, Saturation Boost, as well as some HD patches and mesh improvements mods.
I recently added EZ2C so i can actually read the conversation text. The only thing i don't like about my current set up is the big hands, and the fact that when i hold melee weapons they are always outside my fov(except shield which takes up my 80% of my fov), so melee combat is not very enjoyable.
Also the fact that there is no first person horse riding but that's a skyrim problem not OR problem. So yea i would really like to take a look at how your set up works, without having to erase all my stuff and upload yours. Hi is anyone around that can help me as I am having a few problems getting this to work.
I am using a non modded version of the game downloaded from Steam. I have made a new saved game as instructed I follow the instructions and paste in the following files into the Common/Skyrim folder: d3d9.dll hijackdll.dll libfreespace.dll VRboost.dll Then it says to start the Skyrim Launcher but when I try this, I get the following error message: 'The program can't start because MSVCP110.dll is missing' If I pull those files out it works fine again. I am using Perception 2.0.3 though and am unable to download 2.0.0.2 as the site is currently down.
Do you think this is to do with the current version of perception or something I may have done wrong? Yeah I figured that out with some googling, thanks! Seem to have got it all working, the only issue I seem to be having is that in freelook, mode my mouse no longer turns my body when moving anywhere, if i switch off freelook then i get control of my body with the mouse again but then I run in whatever direction I'm looking. Also freelook supposedly stops the body from following the head direction but when I stand still and turn my head, I can see that my body still turns with my head? Sure I'll figure it out after some fiddling about. Awesome guide thanks!
Cylonsurfer, First off, thanks so much for creating this. I had such a hard time trying to get it working before and now I'm finally almost done. Everything looks awesome except for some small glitches. When I pull my weapon out, my head seems to move to my left shoulder and is looking out towards the left.
So my arms are coming off the right side of my head. Tried to toggle free look to adjust but every time I pull the weapon out it does this.
Any idea how to fix it? I'm jonesin to play VR Skyrim somethin awful. Also my head seems a little too far back.
When I wear a helmet I can see it in front of my eyes. Thanks in advance! On which step do I load your profile for the IFPV mod?
Is this the 'Load Settings From File' step? If so, I did click that but it simply said 'Loaded' and never let me choose which file to load. Does it automatically know to load the.txt file? I'll take some screenshots when I get home. Thanks, appreciate the help.
That's correct and no you do not choose the file, it should be the one you copied to the specified location as part of the IFPV setup. If you upload a screenshot I'll try and assist you. I prefer using VorpX for edge peek and the fact I can use ENB series with it.
Helps detract from the screen door effect more. If I could use ENB with Vireio Perception I would be very happy indeed. Well the guide will not work with Vorpx and isnt designed to. Mostly due to it disabling shadows and the warping implimentation which causes quite severe fish bowling. Using the guide would also negate any need for the edge peak function as it details how to position the games menus etc. Close to vanilla Skyrim on medium settings, being run in true stereo 3D, with a high FOV and shadows will struggle to maintain 60FPS in some locations. Thats on a GTX780, personally I'd forget about ENB.

I believe it's always suggested you use the wrapper version. Not sure what the other one is. But I would also suggest you check out the presets on Skyrimnexus.com and then only use the dx9.dll file found in the appropriate version that you will be using from the enb website. It'll usually say which version it was designed for. PM me if you need any further help with it. I'd be happy to help you getting it working.

I was installing it myself and was following the instructions to get the d3d9.dll from the rar, which was in the wrapped folder. Anyway, Anyone else think superb enb is extremely dark during nights? I mean, nights for me is complete pitch black for me. I've tried various superb enb versions, and non of them seem to make it better. Not sure if this is to add the 'realism' effect, but I think I may have done something wrong here.
